Job Description

Wardcraft is seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented full-time Accounting and Office Manager to support our financial, payroll, human resources, and daily office operations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, keeping processes organized, and helping a busy office run smoothly. The successful candidate will be comfortable handling confidential information, managing multiple priorities, and working with employees, customers, vendors, and company leadership.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare customer invoices, including progressive-payments.
  • Maintain general ledger records and assist with month-end closing.
  • Support the Controller with financial reporting and reconciliations.
  • Review bank and credit card activity for discrepancies or potentially fraudulent charges.
  • Process payroll and review employee expense reports.
  • Track employee paid time off and respond to questions about available balances.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and assist with employee onboarding.
  • Administer retirement-plan contribution reporting and company matching.
  • Assist with corporate insurance administration.
  • Resolve time-report, vendor-invoice, receiving, and pricing discrepancies.
  • Maintain office supplies and coordinate mail and shipping.
  • Manage office vendors and service providers.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls.
  • Maintain financial and operational dashboards.
  • Provide administrative support to the purchasing and sales teams as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • At least three years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, office management, or related administrative experience.
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Experience with ERP, payroll, or accounting software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with employee, financial, and company information.
  • Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

Work Environment

This position works primarily in a professional office environment and may occasionally require time in a manufacturing setting. Local travel during the business day may occasionally be required.
