Business Intelligence / Tableau Administrator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence / Tableau Administrator to support and administer enterprise business intelligence, reporting, and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Tableau Cloud administration, Salesforce, SQL, Azure SQL Database , and enterprise reporting environments.

The candidate will be responsible for platform administration, incident management, troubleshooting, user support, monitoring, deployments, and ensuring the reliability of business-critical reporting and analytics services.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Tableau Cloud sites, projects, users, groups, permissions, and security across Dev, Test, and Production environments.
• Monitor Tableau platform health, extract refreshes, subscriptions, scheduled jobs, and overall system performance.
• Troubleshoot Tableau performance, connectivity, access, and reporting issues.
• Support report developers, analysts, and business users with Tableau-related issues.
• Deploy and promote reports and dashboards across different environments.
• Support and troubleshoot Azure SQL Database environments used for enterprise reporting.
• Investigate reporting data issues and perform data validation activities.
• Monitor database connectivity, query performance, and data refresh processes.
• Assist with SQL/SOQL troubleshooting and performance optimization .
• Monitor and support Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines loading Salesforce and other source-system data into Azure SQL Database.
• Troubleshoot data-load failures and data-quality issues.
• Assist in identifying root causes of integration and reporting issues.
• Support MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) environments and integrations impacting reporting platforms.
• Collaborate with development, integration, and architecture teams during incident resolution and deployments.
• Participate in SDLC activities and maintain required technical documentation.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to team members.
• Work with architects and management on technical design, architecture, estimation, and resource planning.
• Drive assigned work from requirements through implementation.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional IT experience with relevant BI/Tableau administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau Cloud administration and support .
• Strong experience managing Tableau users, groups, projects, permissions, security, and environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database or similar relational databases.
• Experience with Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, and reporting data .
• Understanding of Salesforce user administration, including:
  • User setup and deactivation
  • Roles and profiles
  • Permission sets
  • Sharing rules
  • Access and security management
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with environment management, access issues, data issues, and business reporting requirements.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work across all phases of the SDLC.
• Strong technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) .
• Experience with MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) or MuleSoft integrations.
• Experience working with Salesforce data and reporting environments.
• Microsoft Azure experience.
• Experience with Tableau enterprise deployments and reporting environments.
• Experience troubleshooting complex integration and data-flow issues.
