JD:
THE ROLE IN ONE PARAGRAPH
The client has drawn a clear line on this program. Change management, training and user adoption stay in-house. What they need from outside is deep technical expertise in two areas: Coupa Invoice Management and Mexico-specific e-invoicing compliance. This person will own invoicing design and configuration (PO and non-PO invoices, 2-way/3-way matching, supplier enablement, AP exception handling) and will be the program's authority on CFDI 4.0, SAT validation, XML processing, VAT requirements and Mexico e-invoicing integrations, all within a manufacturing AP environment.
BOTH MUST-HAVES ARE REQUIRED
This is the most important point in this release. The candidate must bring hands-on Coupa Invoice Management implementation experience AND live Mexico CFDI/SAT compliance delivery. A strong Coupa consultant who has never handled CFDI will not pass, and neither will a Mexico tax or e-invoicing expert who has never implemented Coupa. Profiles that cover only one side will be returned without review.
RATE GUIDANCE
The top of each range is for candidates with multiple full-lifecycle Coupa invoicing implementations, at least one live CFDI 4.0 go-live, and SAP S/4HANA or Oracle integration experience. This skill combination is scarce, and I would rather see one exceptional candidate slightly above range with a clear justification than three who miss a must-have. Every submission must state rate, currency and employment type.
WHAT AN EXCEPTIONAL CANDIDATE LOOKS LIKE
The best people for this role have configured Coupa invoicing themselves and can explain why they made each design choice. When you screen, look for:
The briefing includes screening questions in Section 7. Please use them in your own screen and include a short summary of the candidate's answers with each submission.
WHAT NOT TO SEND
Please respect Section 8 of the briefing. Do not submit Coupa candidates whose experience is limited to procurement, sourcing or supplier management without invoicing implementation; Mexico tax specialists with no Coupa background; change management, training or adoption consultants (the client is handling this in-house); PMs or coordinators without hands-on design ownership; or candidates whose Coupa experience is end-user, support-only or administrative. Coupa titles are frequently inflated, so verify that the invoicing work on the resume was implementation work.
