Job Description

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a global professional services firm headquartered in New York City, for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their technology team. This is a chance to build internal platforms and client-facing tools used by a firm with a worldwide footprint, working across the entire stack from database to browser on products that support thousands of employees and clients.

Day to day, you will move fluidly between front-end and back-end work, pairing with product managers and designers one day and tuning API performance the next. The role suits an engineer who enjoys ownership, is comfortable navigating ambiguity in a large organization, and wants their code to have visible impact on how a global firm operates.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build full stack features across web applications used internally and by clients
  • Write clean, well-tested code for both front-end interfaces and back-end services
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with internal systems
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to scope new features
  • Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across the stack
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap planning
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge through documentation and pairing
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements

Requirements

  • 3plus years of professional experience in full stack software development
  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern front-end framework such as React
  • Solid experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Hands on experience with Node.js or a similar back-end runtime
  • Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Comfortable working in an agile team environment with CI CD pipelines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across distributed teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401k plan with employer match
  • Generous paid time off and company holidays
  • Fully remote work with flexible scheduling
  • Home office stipend and equipment provided
  • Paid parental leave
  • Professional development and continuing education budget
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Employee assistance program
  • Collaborative, globally connected team culture
