Private Family on the Upper East Side Seeking a Full-Time Live-Out Nanny

Position:   Full-Time Live-Out Nanny
Location:   Upper East Side, NYC
Schedule:   Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Compensation:  $35–$40/hour DOE + overtime , roughly $85,000-140,000/year
Start Date:   ASAP
Benefits: Payroll position,  Paid vacation & holidays, sick days, healthcare stipend, overtime
Schedule: Year- round position or 42-week position with summers off 
Children:  2 (18 months and 5 years old)

About the Family

A warm, entrepreneurial family is seeking an experienced, energetic, and adaptable nanny for a long-term position. The family prefers a full-year commitment but is open to a  42-week schedule (summers off). They prefer a live-out candidate but are open to live-in.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, independent, organized, and comfortable taking initiative while working closely with the parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide loving, engaging care for both children
• Manage the 5-year-old’s school routine and school communication
• Plan age-appropriate activities for the 18-month-old, including sensory play, creative activities, and baking
• Manage children’s schedules, routines, meals, outings, and belongings
• Keep children’s spaces organized and assist with children’s laundry as needed
• Travel with the family occasionally during the school year
• Take initiative and anticipate the family’s needs
• Build a long-term, trusting relationship with the family

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of professional nanny experience
• Looking to be with a family for many years
• Warm, energetic, mature, and highly dependable
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
• Strong swimmer
• Comfortable with family travel
• Professional, discreet, and respectful of boundaries
• Excellent references required
