dream com, a leader in the freight and package transportation industry, is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team in Ackley, USA. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing remote technical support for a variety of hardware, software, network, and system issues. Your efforts will contribute to ensuring seamless technology operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide remote technical support for hardware, software, network, and system issues.
- Troubleshoot computers, printers, email, operating systems, and business applications.
- Install, configure, and maintain approved software and computer equipment.
- Assist with account access, password resets, and user permissions.
- Diagnose connectivity issues, VPN, and remote-access problems.
- Monitor, document, and resolve IT support tickets promptly.
- Support software updates, security patches, and routine maintenance.
- Maintain data backup procedures and assist with basic data recovery.
- Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.
- Collaborate with departments to minimize technology-related disruptions.
Requirements & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or relevant IT certification preferred.
- 1 year of experience in IT support, help desk operations, or desktop support.
- Knowledge of Windows OS, common business applications, and networking basics.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, email systems, and user account management.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-tech users.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote support environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or other relevant IT certifications.
- Experience with help desk ticketing systems and remote desktop tools.
- Familiarity with endpoint security, multi-factor authentication, and access management.
- Experience with business applications, inventory systems, or dealership management software.
- Knowledge of IT asset management and technology documentation procedures.
