Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for a Nashville hospital location to handle specimen processing, data entry, and equipment maintenance in a high-volume clinical laboratory setting. The role requires a high school diploma and at least six months of medical or clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and enter specimen and patient data into laboratory information systems
• Monitor lab equipment functionality and perform routine maintenance tasks
• Identify and resolve specimen-related issues before analysis
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and replenish supplies as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6+ months medical or clinical industry work experience
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry
• Ability to handle biological specimens and work in fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and multitasking skills
• Comfortable standing/sitting for extended periods; pass color blindness test
