Job Description

A well-established law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing legal documents, court filings, attorney calendars, and case deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

-Open and organize new legal matters, including conflict checks and file management.

-Maintain attorney calendars, court deadlines, and docket reports.

-Prepare, edit, proofread, and finalize legal documents and correspondence.

-Manage electronic and physical case files, ensuring all information is properly documented and accessible.

-Process court filings, including ECF filings and service of legal documents.

-Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, client meetings, and conference calls.

-Prepare document binders, exhibits, and case materials for litigation events.

-Review incoming mail, emails, and court notices for docketing and follow-up.

-Assist attorneys with billing, time entry review, and administrative tasks.

-Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and outside parties.

Qualifications
-Previous Legal Assistant or Litigation Legal Assistant experience preferred
-Experience with court filings and deadline management
-Strong proofreading and document formatting skills
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF editing tools
-Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
-Experience with legal case management software is a plus
