Position Overview

We are recruiting highly skilled Python Developers to join our team as project-based consultants working directly on advanced code evaluation assignments for a leading global AI lab. In this unique, part-time expert track, you will not build standard business software but will instead engineer realistic multi-file coding scenarios designed to challenge AI models. Your responsibilities span writing natural-language technical specifications, designing comprehensive unit and integration test suites, implementing complex bug resolution templates, and conducting rigorous peer code reviews to ensure maximum technical realism.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Benchmark Scenarios: Architect and implement multi-file coding tasks simulating production environment bugs, legacy codebase migrations, feature requests, and refactoring constraints.
• Technical Specification Engineering: Author clear, unambiguous natural-language project blueprints paired with mathematically flawless software reference implementations.
• Robust Test Suite Generation: Extend and maintain thorough unit and integration verification testing frameworks to validate target solution boundaries.
• Expert Peer Auditing: Review codebase tasks generated by peer network contributors, ensuring code correctness, strict clarity, structural realism, and lack of ambiguities.
• Edge Case Isolation: Proactively identify system failure modes, code exceptions, and execution logic bottlenecks within test suites.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–7 years of verified professional software engineering experience executing full-stack or backend logic deployments inside high-availability production environments.
• Expert-level, authority-grade programming proficiency utilizing Python and JavaScript or TypeScript .
• Working operational knowledge or syntax reading familiarity with secondary typed languages such as Java, C#, or Go (Golang) .
• Demonstrated experience writing clean code validation test suites utilizing frameworks like pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or native Go testing libraries .
• Proven capacity to navigate, modify, and debug complex, highly distributed multi-file code repositories autonomously.
• Advanced professional written and verbal English communication mechanics, tailored for creating extensive documentation structures.
• Location Context: 100% remote contractor project flexibility open exclusively to qualified developers residing within Japan .

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Prior experience operating as a technical evaluator, code content creator, code testing architect, or specialized software engineering consultant.
• Familiarity navigating deep learning architectures, prompt engineering pipelines, or automated continuous integration environments.
