Job Description

Role: Scrum Master

Location: Trenton NJ(Onsite)

Primary Skills: P&C Insurance Guidewire

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups sprint planning sprint reviews and retrospectives.
• Support the team in following Agile practices and principles fostering self-organization and accountability.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage and prioritize the product backlog effectively.
• Identify and remove obstacles that impede the teams progress and work to ensure the team remains focused on achieving sprint goals.
• Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles promoting continuous improvement and growth.
• Ensure clear and open communication within the Scrum team and with external stakeholders.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Help the team maintain a sustainable pace of work and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
• Foster a collaborative supportive and productive team environment.
• Promote a culture of transparency feedback and continuous learning within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong Experience in P&C Insurance domain and Guidewire Product.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum Kanban and other Agile methodologies.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is highly preferred.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Excellent facilitation coaching and mentoring skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on removing impediments and fostering self-organization.
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA Confluence Trello or similar.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
