ServiceNow Developer
Austin TX - Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and deploy custom upgrade-safe ServiceNow applications and components from scratch.

• Build custom widgets and components within ServiceNow Workspace beyond configuring out-of-the-box widgets.

• Develop complex flow designs custom forms lifecycle events and portals.

• Build and maintain inbound/outbound integrations with third-party and enterprise systems using REST/SOAP including GenAI/LLM-based workflow integrations.

• Write and maintain custom server-side and client-side scripts including Business Rules Script Includes Client Scripts UI Policies/Actions.

• Ensure custom development is scalable performant and upgrade-safe across ServiceNow releases.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

• ServiceNow certification(s) required such as Certified System Administrator plus Certified Application Developer or equivalent advanced certification.

• Demonstrated hands-on ServiceNow development experience not limited to configuration catalog builds or UI Policy management.

• Strong scripting skills: JavaScript Glide APIs Script Includes Business Rules UI Actions/Policies.

• Proven experience building custom components and widgets from scratch within ServiceNow Workspace or Service Portal.

• Deep hands-on experience with integration architecture including REST/SOAP web services MID Server and third-party system integrations.

• Ability to design and build upgrade-safe customizations that persist through platform version upgrades.

• Strong understanding of platform scalability and performance optimization for custom-built applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following technical areas is preferred. Module expertise is secondary to core development strength:

• Complex flow design custom forms lifecycle events portals such as Alumni/Employee portals; familiarity with HR business processes such as Employee Relations and Compensation.

• External system integrations enterprise HR/legal/reimbursement tools GenAI/LLM-based workflow routing.

• Traditional IT workflow development and complex platform scripting.

• Prior experience acting as a Technical Lead/Anchor coordinating onshore/offshore or nearshore development teams.
