Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for a casual/per diem position at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. The role involves receiving, sorting, and preparing clinical specimens in a high-volume production environment while performing equipment maintenance and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
• Perform waived testing, blind samples, and proficiency testing as required
• Scan and enter specimen and patient information into systems
• Monitor lab equipment function and perform routine maintenance tasks
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and replenish test bench supplies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfort handling biological specimens and ability to accurately identify them
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Strong attention to detail with multitasking capability
• Ability to work extended periods sitting or standing in fast-paced environment
• Must pass standardized color blindness test
• Prior medical, lab, or production experience preferred
